Jake KnappWrist/Thumb6/17/2026Knapp withdrew prior to the Cadillac Chmapionship due to a left thumb sprain. At the Truist Championship, on-course reports said he was not swinging his club and reported that his left hand was bandaged before he ultimately withdrew. The PGA Championship and Memorial Tournament marked his third and fourth straight WDs. The U.S. Open will be his first event since the RBC Heritage.
Marco PengeRecurring Health Issues5/13/2026Penge said in a social media post that he's had recurring problems with his ear/neck/nervous system since he had a viral infection that dates back to November 2025. He experienced sinus infections and vertigo syptoms and ultimately got an MRI that came back clear. He says he's battling to get fully fit again and that he's "not too far away".
Brooks KoepkaFingers6/17/2026Koepka is dealing with numbness in his fourth and fifth fingers and is struggling with grip in his left hand. Speculated as an ulnar nerve or thoracic outlet issue, Koepka was forced to WD from last week's RBC Canadian Open. As of now he's going to tee it up at Shinnecock but is less than 100%.
